Xinjiangsha rychliki sp. nov.
Description of larva: SIF = 7BS-N-3-3-1-1-1-1-0-0-0; fsp=7-7-7; fPp = B.B.NNB; Ga = N; fCx = 1-1-1; fSt = 2- 2; DS = 63; VS = 49; NDV = 113; fDS = 4H-12-5- 15 -5-12-4-6 = 63.
Idiosoma (Figs. 1, 2). Scutum anteriorly and laterally sub-quadrate, posteriorly semi-rounded, slightly wider than long, with 2 AL, 1 AM, 2 PL, 4 PPL, 2 OS (scuto-ocular setae) and two sensilla. Small scutal puncta cover prevailing part of scutum. Sensilla flagelliform 54 long, with 2–3 cilia situated in apical half of sensilla. Eyes oval 2 + 2 in ocular plates, situated laterally at level of PLs. Humeral setae 51 long, anterior dorsal idiosomal setae 51 long, posterior 42 long, thickly ciliated, dorsal idiosomal setae arranged in irregular rows, varying in number and position of setae. Standard measurements: AW = 78, PW = 92, SB = 29, ASB = 29, PSB = 28, SD = 57, AP = 20, AM = 57, AL = 43, PL = 46, PPL = 46, OS = 46; AM>PL=PPL=OS>AL; SD<AW<PW; SB situated at level of PL and slightly anterior to first pair of PPL setae. Ventral side of idiosoma with two pairs of sternal setae and 52 irregularly arranged thickly ciliated ventral setae; fCx = 1-1-1. Ventral side with two pairs of sternal setae (fSt=2- 2), fCx = 1-1-1; coxal setae I long and reaching to posterior margin of coxa II. Ventral side with 52 irregularly arranged thickly ciliated setae. Lengths of ventral setae increase from anterior (32) to median (36) and posterior (38 μm) setae.
Gnathosoma ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 ). Galeala nude. Palps 68 long, slender palpotibial claw 17 long, with 3 deeply indented prongs. Cheliceral blade anteriorly with tricuspid cap.
Legs ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 ). With pretarsus, claws and normal empodia. Setae on legs ciliated, slender. Specialized setae on leg segments – Leg I: tarsus I – S1, f1, (PT´, ST, pST) = N, 2 tibialae, microtibiala, 3 genualae, microgenuala; Leg II: tarsus II – S2, f2, PT´´= N, 2 tibialae, genuala; Leg III: MTa, tibiala, genuala. Number of plumose setae on leg segments (leg formula): Leg I: 1-1- 1-4-4-8-14; Leg II: 1-1- 2 -4-3-5-12; Leg III: 1-1- 2 -3-4-6-12.
Differential diagnosis. Xinjiangsha rychliki sp. nov. belongs to the species with 4 PPL and 2 OS setae. The most similar species, X. lyciaensis Stekolnikov and Daniel , differs from X. rychliki by three pairs of humeral setae, DS = 103 and NDV = 163, while X. rychliki has two pairs of humeral setae, DS = 64 and NDV = 113. Xinjiangsha rychliki differs from other similar species by the presence of 4 PPL. The related species Xinjiangsha feideri (Daniel and Brelih) differs from X. rychliki by 2 PPL only and branched galeala. X. stekolnikovi sp. nov. differs from X. rychliki by having 2 PPL, 2 OS and 2 genualae I. X. rychliki differs from another similar species X. variabilis (Schluger and Vshivkov) by having four humerals (4H) and NDV=113, while X. variabilis has two humerals (2H) and NDV=77. The remaining Xinjiangsha species have other combinations of features.
Material studied. Holotype: Turkey, Sakarya Province, South from Sapanca lake, Sapanca env., 40° 40' 34" N, 30° 15' 13" E, 180 m above sea level, deciduous forest, 1 larva from pitfall trap, 13 May 1995. Collected by Dr. Ivo Rychlík. Holotype will be deposited in Slovak National Museum, Bratislava, Slovakia.
Etymology. The new species is named in honour of a well-known Slovak entomologist Dr. Ivo Rychlík.
