Figs 96–98 View FIGURES 90–98 , 178 View FIGURES 175–183
Diagnosis. Ecnomina wamoom can be separated from all other species in the genus by the distinctive paired lateral projections on both the phallus and inferior appendages.
Description. Head, body and wings brown, abdomen paler ventrally; wings similar to E. legula ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1–6 ). Forewing length about 3.0–3.3 times width: male 3.7–4.2 mm, female 3.8–4.6 mm. Forewing fork 2 relatively long, sessile, length about 1.2–1.3 times length of fork 3; fork 3 relatively long, length greater than 9 times length footstalk, footstalk length about 0.4–0.6 times length cross-vein m, r-m and m not contiguous at fork 3 by about 0.9 times length cross-vein m; fork 4 similar length to fork 3; fork 5 long, length about 1.8 times length of fork 4. Hindwing length about 3.1–3.3 times width, fork 2 sessile, length about 1.3–1.5 times length of fork 3.
Male. Tergum X membranous, expanded distally ( Fig. 98 View FIGURES 90–98 ). Superior appendages slightly laterally compressed; in lateral view, length about 3 times width, tapered slightly in distal third ( Fig. 96 View FIGURES 90–98 ); in dorsal view, relatively slender, length about 4 times width, with stout spines on inner surface, subapically ( Fig. 98 View FIGURES 90–98 ). Phallus generally tube-like with distinctive pair of curved processes disto-laterally ( Figs 96, 97 View FIGURES 90–98 ). Inferior appendages in ventral view, fused, with pair of dorso-lateral processes, rounded distally ( Fig. 97 View FIGURES 90–98 ); in lateral view, length about twice width, tapered distally ( Fig. 96 View FIGURES 90–98 ).
Female Genitalia with a single relatively elongate and robust mesal process on sternite VIII, process tapered to a rounded apex; segment IX relatively long, tapered slightly distally, segment X relatively short and segments IX and X relatively slender ( Fig. 178 View FIGURES 175–183 ).
