First tarsomere of fore tarsus with strong, short ventral bristles. Mid femur with one row of strong dorsal bristles, pennate posteroventrally on apical half. Mid tibia pennate dorsally except at tips, with distinct ventral bristles. First tarsomere of mid tarsus with strong, not very long bristles, especially ventrally. Hind femur with numerous distinct dorsal and ventral bristles, stronger dorsally, pennate posteroventrally at apical tip. Hind tibia with numerous distinct dorsal and ventral bristles, stronger dorsally, pennate dorsally in the middle. Hind tarsus similar to mid tarsus. Each tarsomere of all tarsi with distinct bristles at apical tip.

Discussion

E. barbitos belongs to the E. (C.) lyra -complex. It resembles E. lyra in the basic pattern of dusting on the scutum, but the lyre-shaped stripe under the dorsocentrals is not present and the antennae are blackish, not brown-yellowish.

Distribution Southern Africa: Zimbabwe.
