Persian Gulf. First record for the Persian Gulf.

Gulf of Oman. First record for the Gulf of Oman.

General distribution and habitat. Indo-West Pacific; boring into littoral rocks ( Jones et al. 2000; present study).

Descriptive features and remarks. Specimens with small rostrum ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2. a e) and no lateral capitular plates ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2. a d). Largest specimen with capitular width 6.0–7.0 mm, capitular length 4.0–7.0 mm, peduncular length 13.0–15.5 mm.

The specimens were collected from their burrows in intertidal rocks at Chabahar (25° 16'N, 60°44'E) and Qeshm Island (26° 54'N, 56° 09' E) ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 ).
