Lectotype (Kadereit in Jarvis & Turland in Taxon 47: 366. 1998): Herb. Linn. No. 996.19 ( LINN) .

Current name: Senecio viscosus L. View in CoL ( Asteraceae ).

Note: Although Alexander (in Notes Roy. Bot. Gard. Edinburgh 37: 418. 1979) noted the existence of 996.19 (LINN), he did not designate it as type.
