Catocala repudiata Staudinger, 1888 , Stettiner entomologische Zeitung, 49: 55 (Type locality: [ China, NW Xinjiang, Yining] “ Kuldja ”).

Material examined. KAZAKHSTAN: 1 male, 28.VII.2023, East Kazakhstan Region, floodplain terrace of Kara-Irtysh River, near Boran village , 409m, 48°0'14.94"N 85°13'0.71"E, S. V. Titov leg. ( CAV) ; MONGOLIA: long series of both sexes, Khovd [Aimak], Buyant River , 48°09.11'N 91°45.16'E, 1270m, 1–6.IX.2013 ( ASV) .

Distribution. Catocala repudiata is currently known from Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, western and north-western Xinjiang Province of China, Southeast and East Kazakhstan, and West Mongolia ( Staudinger 1888; Toropov et al. 2023) ( Fig. 12 ). The species is reported from Mongolia for the first time in the present paper.
