Notes:— Cryptophoranthus argus View in CoL is commonly attributed to Reichenbach because Kraenzlin ascribed the name to“Rchb. f. in sched” in the publication. Nevertheless, the unpublished name Reichenbach used was Masdevallia argus View in CoL , as clearly noted by Kraenzlin. Because the two names are different, Cryptophoranthus argus View in CoL cannot be ascribed to Reichenbach underArt.46.4.It is also important to point out that the name Masdevallia argus View in CoL was neither validly published nor intended.
