Note: This name has been widely treated as a nomen dubium (e.g. by Hitchcock in Bot. Gaz. 38: 141-143. 1904; Widén in Fl. Fennica 5: 54-56. 1971 and Rauschert in Feddes Repert. 88: 318. 1977). However, it has not been formally proposed for rejection.
