Updated diagnosis. In addition to the diagnosis presented by Bustamante & Ruiz (2017: 310), we included the following comparisons due the description of Cyllodania marietae sp. nov. (see below): Atomosphyrus resembles Cyllodania by having a mastidion proximally on the male chelicera (common in amycoids), but differs by not having a longitudinal band of white scales on the abdominal dorsum and by having a slender femur I.
