Observations:— Fırat (2016) described this species from plants collected in Hakkâri province, in southeastern Turkey. Although it is apparently close to Juno pseudocaucasica ( Grossheim 1916: 11) Rodionenko (1961: 208) View in CoL , it shows some peculiarities warranting recognition at specific rank, such as the larger bulbs (up to 6.5 cm diameter), longer spathe bracts (5.5–7 cm), elegant pink-carneous flowers with bigger falls (4–6 cm long), and the long-beaked capsule. Therefore, it is transferred here to the genus Juno View in CoL and a new combination is proposed.
