Envia garciai Ott & Höfer, 2003: 374 View in CoL , figs 1–21 (holotype 3 and paratype Ƥ, 2° 53’ 36"S 59° 58’ 22"W, Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária (EMBRAPA) - Amazônia Ocidental, km 30, Rodovia AM-010, Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil; INPA 59, 60, examined); Platnick, 2010.

Diagnosis. Males of Envia garciai differ from those of E. moleque sp. n. by the strongly developed tibial apophysis on leg I, represented by a proventral apical spine modified into a clasping spur, surrounded by a group of four to five shorter spurs ( Figs13–14 View FIGURES 5 – 14 ; Ott & Höffer 2003: figs 4–5); copulatory bulb with short apical spine on globose, sculptured paraembolic apophysis (see Ott & Höffer 2003: Figs14 View FIGURES 5 – 14 , 15 View FIGURES 15 – 20 ). Females differ by having spermathecae with thin, elongated ducts, without well defined receptaculum (see Ott and Höffer 2003: fig. 9). Additionally, both sexes differ from the new species by the shorter posterior median spinnerets, about one third the posterior spinnerets length (see Ott & Höffer 2003: figs 1, 3).

Description. See Ott & Höffer (2003: 374)

Variation. Some males from both the type locality and UFAM Experimental Farm have only two ventral spines at the base of the apical clasping spur of the tibiae I ( Figs13, 14 View FIGURES 5 – 14 ). These spines are larger than the three in the holotype of E. garciai (see Ott & Höffer, 2003: Figs4 View FIGURES 1 – 4 , 5 View FIGURES 5 – 14 ).
