His research focuses on taxonomy, phylogenetics, and comparative ecology and evolution, especially of Anolis lizards. He has collected over 250 species of Anolis in 15 countries.
Mason J. Ryan is a snake conservation biologist at Arizona Game and Fish Department and Research Associate at the University of New Mexico Museum of Southwestern Biology , USA. His research focuses on tropical and desert amphibians and reptiles with an emphasis on disease, climate change, conservation, and community ecology .
