Diagnosis and description. See ( Logunov 2003).

Comments. This species was described from the three close localities in eastern Nepal ( Logunov 2003), from the elevations 1900–2010 m. The new record lies at about 760 m, thus extending the altitudinal distribution of the species by some 1100 m lower. The species can be collected by sweeping over or beating off vegetation in the Lithocarpus /Casatanopsis - and Ericacea -sclerophyll forests ( Logunov 2003) and from under stones (present data).

Colour photographs of C. chichila ( Figs 1–3, 5 View FIGURES 1–5 ) are presented here for the first time; the body colour and colour pattern of the studied female correspond to and are complementary with those given in the detailed description by Logunov (2003: 581).

Material examined. NEPAL: Gandaki: Phewa Tal (lake), Pokhara , 28°12’41.2”N 83°57’21.8”E, 762 m, under stones nr. stream, leg. K. H. Hyatt, 9. V GoogleMaps .1954, 1♀ ( BMNH) .

Distribution. Four close localities in Nepal (Map).
