Epimecis atriceps Cresson, 1865: 34 .

Hymenoepimecis atriceps ( Cresson, 1865) View in CoL . Assigned by Townes and Townes (1966).

A single specimen (IES # 348) lacking wings and metasoma. It lacks the “Cr” label, so there is no evidence that it was ever seen by Cresson, and Cresson states (1865: 34) that he only saw a single specimen. Furthermore there is a note in Gundlach’s handwriting in his copy of Cresson’s paper that the specimen was returned to ANSP.
