Doicholobosa acuta Wang & Shi View in CoL , sp. nov.

( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 )

Description. Male. Body small. Head short and stout, front slightly oblique posteriorly. Fastigium verticis short conical, apex rounded, with a longitudinal sulcus on dorsum. Eyes oval, protruding outward and forward. Maxillary palpi long, with apical segment slightly widened at apex and longer than penultimate one.

Pronotum short, anterior margin straight, posterior margin obtusely rounded, disc flat; lateral lobes slightly longer than deep, without humeral sinus. Tegmina short, almost completely covered by pronotum.

All femora without spines on ventral margin. Procoxae with 1 spine, tibial tympana open on both sides, long oval. Protibiae with 4–5 long spines on inner and outer margins of ventral surface separately. Posttibiae with 22–24 spines on inner and outer margins of dorsal surface separately, bearing 1 pair of dorsal apical spurs and 2 pairs of ventral apical spurs.

Tenth abdominal tergite long, posterior margin notched on the centre, lateral lobes protruded triangularly. Cerci long, basal half cylindrical, apices slightly compressed, inner margin expended slightly, with a indistinct ridge, apices obtusely rounded. Subgenital plate broad in the base, posterior margin with a broad median notch, lateral lobes slender, curved dorsad, apices rounded. Genitalia sclerotized, with apex acute.

Coloration. Body green. Eyes yellowish brown. Disc of pronotum with a longitudinal broad light brown stripe.

Female. Appearance is similar to male. Pronotum shorter, posterior margin of lateral lobe narrowing. Tegmina short, almost completely covered by pronotum. Tenth abdominal tergite with posterior margin concave, epiproct broad and short. Cerci long conical, apices acute. Subgenital plate square slightly, with a longitudinal shallow sulcus on the midline, posterior margin indistinctly notched. Ovipositor short, obviously curved upward, dorsal valvulae longer than ventral ones, apical areas of which with some thin teeth.

Measurements (mm). Body (from apex of rostrum to posterior margin of tenth abdominal tergite): ♂ 11.0, ♀ 9.5; pronotum: ♂ 3.3, ♀ 3.1; postfemora: ♂ 9.1, ♀ 9.2; ovipositor (basal margin of subgenital plate to apex of ovi- positor): 5.0.

Material examined. Holotype: ♂, Huayingshan , Sichuan, 11 August, 2019, coll. Bo-Liang Li. Paratype: 1♀, Huayingshan , Sichuan, 8 September, 2019, coll. Bo-Liang Li.

Distribution. Sichuan (Huayingshan).

Discussion. The new species differs from the known species of the genus Doicholobosa Bian, Zhu & Shi, 2017 in male cerci and genitalia; from Doicholobosa nigrovittata (Liu & Bi, 1994) , in tenth abdominal tergite and subgenital plate.

Etymology. The new specific name is taken from apical morphology of male genitalia. Latin “ acut- ” expresses sharp, indicates male genitalia with apex sharp.
