F: Ectoedemia (Etainia) louisella ; van Nieukerken 1996: 25—‘France’
Trifurcula louisella ; Gibeaux 1999: 20— 77
Misidentifications: Stigmella sericopeza View in CoL ; Suire 1951: 106— 30
Remarks. Ectoedemia louisella is very similar to E. sericopeza , but smaller and feeds on Acer campestre . For a long time it was unrecognised and confused with E. sericopeza , as by Suire (1951), who reported Acer campestre as host. See also the following species.
