A species previously reported from Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Brazil, Venezuela, Guyana, Surinam, French Guiana, Trindad and Tobago, Jamaica, Cuba, and Central and South America ( Metcalf 1963a, Duffels & van der Laan 1985, Sanborn 2006a).
