Comments. The species is characterized by short and strong gonostylus (not more than 1.4 times as long as wide), possessing 3–4 subapical spines and 2–3 long whiplash-like bristles. The American specimens are identical with the Palearctic specimens in all details.

Distribution. Holarctic. USA, Canada. New for North America.
