Taxonomy : The species is known only from one specimen collected at light in Chiangmai , Thailand. Despite extensive later collecting in the area, no further specimens have been found. The holotype ( BMNH) has been examined. It is

148 distinguished from all other species by the presence of two mycangial openings on each elytron.

Distribution: Thailand.
