Proctoeces subtenuis (Linton, 1907) Hanson, 1950 .

Material examined. Busan-si, Seo-gu, Amnam-dong ; collected from Spiny red gurnard, Chelidonichthys spinosus , purchased at Songdo beach fish market; collected by YS Kang and DM Lee in August 2020 .

Deposition. NIBRIV0000879452, NIBRIV0000879453.

World distribution. Cosmopolitan.

Diagnosis. Body elongate. Oral sucker and pharynx well developed. There is a very short prepharynx. Esophagus short; ceca reaching is to posterior extremity. Acetabulum on short pedicle, in anterior third of body. Testes obliquely tandemly. Cirrus pouch reaching back of acetabulum, containing winding tubular seminal vesicle and long prostatic complex. Ovary pretesticular. No receptaculum seminis. Vitelline follicles in ovariotesticular zone. Uterus filling up all available space of hindbody. Excretory vesicle V-shaped.

Remarks. Proctoeces maculatus (Looss, 1901) Odhner, 1911 is the type species of this genus. Currently, 17 species are regarded to valid species including P. maculatus . but some dubious species of this genus seem to be redescribed.
