Type material.

Holotype, ?male, 4 mm, MNHN-Am4099.

Type locality.

South-east of les Îles Glorieuses (11°31'S, 47°24.1'E), 335-390 m depth.

Depth range.

335-390 m ( Ledoyer 1986).

Distribution.

Madagascar: South-east of les Îles Glorieuses ( Ledoyer 1986).

Discussion.

Ledoyer (1986) originally described this species, tentatively placing it in the genus Bathycallisoma based on the relative length of the gnathopod 1 carpus, which is shorter than the propodus. We do not consider this to be a sound diagnostic character and instead refer to the distally broadened lacinia mobilis (slender robust seta in Bathycallisoma ).
