Notes: This specialist on Cornus ( Cornaceae ) (LaBerge & Ribble 1972; Wood & Roberts 2018) is not well known in Connecticut, having only five records from Fairfield County spanning 1904–1997, and one record from Hartford County collected in 2010. Growing numbers of community science observations of this readily identifiable species in Vermont suggest that targeted searches for it in Connecticut on its preferred host plants might be productive.
