Genus Paramonohystera Steiner, 1916

Diagnosis: The genus Paramonohystera is characterized by cephalic sensilla arranged in 6+10 or 6+12 pattern, six inner labial sensilla papilliform, six outer labial sensilla setiform, and with cephalic setae united in one circle; buccal cavity conical, anterior end domed, without teeth; amphidial fovea circular or elliptical; spicules slender and elongated (usually longer than 2 a.b.d.); gubernaculum tubular or plate shaped, without apophysis; tail conicocylindrical with terminal setae (Fonseca & Bezerra, 2004; Warwick et al. 1998).
