Diagnosis. This species is similar to members of immaculata group by general appearance, which include: Danielithosia immaculata , D. mesospila , D. fuscipennis , D. zolotuhini , and D. wooshini Bae & Bayarsaikhan, 2015 , but can be distinguished from all of them by the following aspects: in the male genitalia, more angled subapical broadening of both sacculus and aedeagus vesica with 1 – 5 cone˗shaped cornuti and one sort, spine˗shaped cornutus (see Bayarsaikhan et al. 2015).

FIGURES 4–8. Danielithosia baviensis n. sp.: 4a, 5a, 6a, 7a, 8a. adults; 4a. male genitalia (2 cornuti); 5b. ditto (3 cornuti); 6b. ditto (4 cornuti); 7b. ditto (5 cornuti); 8b. ditto (6 cornuti).

Description. Forewing length 8.8 – 10.5 mm in male, 8.5 – 11 mm in female. Head brownish yellow; frons brownish yellow; labial palpus brownish yellow, not extending beyond frons; antennae ciliate, dark brownish yellow. Patagium and tegula brownish yellow. Legs dark brown or brownish yellow. Ground color of forewing brownish yellow; fringe brownish yellow. Hindwing paler than forewing, fringe brownish yellow or yellow.

Male genitalia. Uncus stout, with small spine at top, covered with hairs. Cucullus narrow, tapering towards apex. Sacculus strongly asymmetrical, right rectangular broadening before apex broader than left elongated rectangular one and upper angle of both broadening strongly angled, lower angle rounded; apical process of sacculus curved, finger˗shaped. Juxta asymmetrically bifurcated: right branch slender, small, and dislocated at middle part of juxta; left branch stout, extanding beyond uncus, bented and broadened at apex. Aedeagus stout, slightly sclerotized at distal end and vesica with 1–5 cone˗shaped cornuti and one sort, spine˗shaped cornutus.

Female genitalia. Apophyses posteriores and anteriores almost same length, both apophyses slender. Ostium funnel˗shaped, weakly sclerotized. Ductus bursae short, tube˗shaped, weakly sclerotized. Ductus seminalis long, tube˗shaped, coiled. Cervix of corpus bursae large, triangular, weakly sclerotized and bursae globular with one rounded and one irregular signa.

Distribution. Northern Vietnam.
