Comment: published before 29 June 1857; nomen protectum (see Appendix 1); original vernacular name available (Art. 11.7.2): first used in latinized form by Kiesenwetter (1858: 230, as Agrypnini ), generally accepted as in Lawrence and Newton (1995: 854, as Agrypninae ); this family-group name was also proposed in the same year by Lacordaire (1857 [before 25 May]: 138, as Agrypnides ) (see Bibliographic notes in Introduction).
