Diagnosis.

(After Wygodzinsky and Giacchi 1994) Antenniferous tubercles unarmed, or provided with minute spines. First segment of mid and hind tarsi shorter than second. Posterior angles of connexival segments varied.

Type species.

Pnirontis (Centromelus) spinosissimus Stål, 1859; subsequent designation by Van Duzee (1916).
