Tmethis maroccanus hirtus Uvarov, 1943 View in CoL

Diagnosis: This subspecies can be distinguished from the nominate subspecies T. m. maroccanus by its hind tibia and inside of hind femur vary from bright red to dark red; femur with a black red spot, often imperfectly defined; edges of body and all legs with unusually dense and long hairs.

Habitats: A geophilous species confined to grassy area. Only three female specimens were collected.

Material examined: Ghat Region: Al Barakt , 3♀, on grass-vegetable, 16.x.1994 .

Localities: Fezzan: Al Barakat.

Distribution: Algeria, Morocco, Libya.
