Anacridium melanorhodon arabafrum Dirsh, 1963

Diagnosis: It can be separated from other nominate subspecies by its wing fascia passing cross the whole wing, although narrower than the basal disk which is light violet pink or faintly yellowish.

Habitats: This subspecies is likely to have the same food plants as nominate subspecies A. m. melanorhodon .

Material examined: Al- Shati Region: Tarnzawah , 3♀, on millet, 5.vii.1995 .

Localities: Tripolitania: Corradini, TropoIi, Uadi Ca'am; Fezzan: Tamzawah.

Distribution: Libya, Tanganyika, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia, Somaliland, Socotra, S.W. Asia.

Remarks: This subspecies was earlier recorded from Tripolitania by La Greca (1958).
