Peromyscus bullatus Osgood 1904 , Proc. Biol. Soc. Wash., 17: 63.

Type Locality: México, Veracruz, Perote.

Vernacular Names: Perote Deermouse.

Distribution: Known from only two localities in Veracruz, EC México.

Conservation: IUCN – Endangered.

Discussion: P. truei species group. Retained as a species since its discovery (Carleton, 1989; Hoffmeister, 1951; Osgood, 1909), although Hooper (1968) suspected that it would prove to be a subspecies of P. truei , a possibility that has yet to be addressed.
