( Fig. 12a–c View Fig )

Type Material. Holotype, male: USA, AR,

Newton Co. Buffalo Nat. River 2 mi. NW Erbie

Campground Upland hardwood berlesate C. Carlton 25 June 1994 LSAM 0001706. ( FMNH).

Etymology. This species is named after the type locality near the Buffalo National River, AR.

Diagnosis. The presence of a well-developed spine on both the mesotibia and mesofemur ( Fig. 12c View Fig ) in conjunction with the absence of modified mesotrochanters distinguishes this species from A. impunctatum . Additionally, the form of the aedeagus ( Fig. 12a, b View Fig ), which possesses a ventral lobe with a dorsally projecting branch about one-fifth the length of the process from the distal end, as well as a dorsal process with numerous long setae and a single, well-developed distal spine along the ventral face, distinguishes this species from all others in the genus.

Description. Male. Measurements: HL = 0.18 mm, HW = 0.21 mm; PL = 0.20 = mm, PW = 0.21 mm; EL = 0.40 mm, EW = 0.47 mm; A1–6, respectively, = 0.04, 0.06, 0.07, 0.07, 0.08, 0.04 mm; An1–10, respectively, = 0.04, 0.03, 0.02, 0.02, 0.02, 0.02, 0.02, 0.02, 0.03, 0.04 mm; MP1–4, respectively, = 0.01, 0.02, 0.01, 0.05 mm; GL = 0.41 mm, GW = 0.25 mm; ML = 2.2 mm. Integument: Head, pronotum, elytra, and abdomen light brown, appendages light brown to yellow. Entire surface covered sparsely with short, semierect pubescence. Gular area lacking modified pubescence. Head: Eyes well-developed, comprised of about 35 facets each. Thorax: Mesofemora with small spine at about 1/3 length from articulation with trochanter, mesotibiae with well-developed spine medially, width of spine about 1/3 length of tibia. Abdomen: Ventrite III with lateral foveoid depressions, lacking other modifications. Genitalia: Aedeagus asymmetrical. Ventral lobe with dorsally projecting branch at about 1/5 the length from distal end. Dorsal process with numerous long setae and single, well- developed distal spine along ventral face. Basal bulb well-developed, dorsal diaphragm obvious.
