Material examined: none.

Remarks. The subspecies is widespread throughout Central, southwestern and southern Africa (Rojkoff & Perissinoto 2015). According to these authors the nominal subspecies seems to be a flower visitor. Holm & Marais (1992) provided some ecological data on Atrichelaphinis (Eugeaphinis) rhodesiana ( Péringuey, 1907) .
