Type Locality: Ecuador, Galápagos Archipelago, Santa Cruz Isl, Academia Bay.

Vernacular Names: Darwin's Nesoryzomys.

Distribution: Santa Cruz (= Indefatigable) Isl.

Conservation: IUCN – Extinct. Probably extinct, last recorded in 1930 (see Dowler et al., 2000; Patton and Hafner, 1983).
