Range: —Southeastern Venezuela; Colombia; Galápagos Islands; Bolivia ( CH, LP).
Ecology: —Rare, known from two collections in Bolivia, growing at vastly different elevations; epiphytic in humid forests; 350–2300 m.
Notes: —Differs from H. polyanthos by having lobed to repand involucral margins (vs. entire), and pinnae usually gradually tapering at the leaf base, resulting in a rhombic to lanceolate (vs. ovate to ovate-lanceolate) blade outline. Circumscription and range of this species requires further study.
