Range: —Greater Antilles; mountains from southern Mexico to Venezuela and Bolivia (CO, LP); southeastern Brazil.
Ecology: —Common; epiphytic and on mossy banks in humid forests, usually in the dark understory; 1100–2600 m.
Notes: —Petioles are slender, 0.2–0.3(0.4) mm thick, with a mixture of simple, forked, and stellate hairs. Rachises are broadly winged, and fronds have determinate growth. Blade pubescense is relatively sparse, leaving the veins and tissue always clearly visible.
