= Sphaerocionium plumieri (Hook. & Grev.) C.Presl , Hymenophyllaceae (Presl) 34. 1843. [Abh. Königl. Böhm. Ges. Wiss., ser. 5, 3: 126. 1843]. Range: —Andes from Venezuela to Bolivia. Ecology: —Common; pendent epiphyte or less commonly upright terrestrial on earth banks in humid forests; 600–2200 m. Notes: — Hymenophyllum lindenii Hook. , from Venezuela to southern Peru, is likely to occur in Bolivia. It differs from H. plumieri by thicker (0.7–1.2 mm in diameter) and longer ((8) 10–15 cm vs. 2–7 cm long) petioles, and broader (8–15 cm vs. 3–8 cm wide), ovate to ovate-lanceolate (vs. linear) blades usually not reduced towards the base.
