Hemelytra much larger than body beneath, progressively widening posteriorly, apex divergent; costal area triseriate at the middle, biseriate in front and posteriorly, areolae polygonal, as large as on hood; subcostal area narrow and uniseriate, areolae small opposite to discoidal area, larger posterior to discoidal area; discoidal area shorter than half the length of hemelytra, five areolae wide at widest part, areolae smaller than on costal area; sutural area three areolae wide at widest part, areolae as large as on costal area.

Diagnosis. This species is characterized by the two occipital spines and a median frontal spines on the head and the biseriate paranota.

Etymology. This new species is named in honor of Jérôme Constant (IRScNB, Belgium), who provided many of the Vietnamese specimens studied by the authors.

Comments. The habitus of this new species is similar to the type species C. physalia Drake & Ruhoff , but differs by the presence of two occipital spines and a median frontal spine on head, the paranota are biseriate with an outer row of large quadrate areolae and an inner row of smaller areolae. Cetiothucha physalia is known from Sabah and Sarawak.
