This Aprionus View in CoL , found in small numbers wherever it occurs, was introduced by Mamaev (1963) and adequately described by Jaschhof (1998).

Previous distribution. Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia (Europe). Occurrence in Sweden: Öland, Östergötland .

Specimens studied. SWEDEN: male (CEC221), Öland, Mörbylånga , Kalkstad NR, mixed deciduous forest, 27 June–30 July 2014, Malaise trap, M. & C. Jaschhof; male (CEC271), Mörbylånga, Skogsby forest NR, mixed deciduous forest with much dead ash, 15 July–17 Aug. 2015, Malaise trap, M. & C. Jaschhof; male (CEC260), Öland, Borgholm, Lindreservat NR, mixed deciduous forest, 22 July–23 Aug. 2015, Malaise trap, M. & C. Jaschhof ; 2 males (CEC222–223), Borgholm , Rönnerum-Abbantorp NR, swampy mixed deciduous forest and small scrubby fen, 17 June–15 July 2015, Malaise trap, M. & C. Jaschhof; male (CEC224), Östergötland, Ödeshög, Omberg, Storpissan NR, old-growth spruce forest, 8 June–26 July 2010, Malaise trap, M. & C. Jaschhof.
