Dallaiella petrosa Mamaev, 1997 View in CoL
Fig. 8A View FIGURE 8 ̄B
This species, previously known from a single male collected in northern Italy in 1994, ( Mamaev 1997), is here shown to occur in southeast Sweden. The only Swedish specimen fits Mamaev’s (1997) description, with the exception of the basitarsal projections, which are not pointed, as described by Mamaev, but are rounded and microtrichose. According to this observation, Dallaiella should be assigned to a subset of Porricondylini with fewer than 14 flagellomeres in males and without basitarsal spines, which is the “group Ab” of Jaschhof & Jaschhof (2013). A peculiarity of D. petrosa not mentioned by Mamaev (1997) is that the gonostyli are strongly flattened, which is best appreciated in a posterior view. Also, in addition to the basolateral apophysis of the gonostylus, which in D. petrosa is small, there is a strongly sclerotized apophysis basomedially (see the densely punctured area in Fig. 8A View FIGURE 8 ). We do not know of such an additional apophysis occurring in any other Porricondylini .
Previous distribution. Italy. Occurrence in Sweden: Småland.
Specimen studied. SWEDEN: male (CEC154), Småland , Nybro, Bäckebo, Grytsjön NR, tall forest of aspen and conifers, 19 June ̄ 16 July 2014, Malaise trap, M. & C. Jaschhof.
