Genus Cosmocerca Diesing, 1861

Nematodes with conspicuous sexual dimorphism; body cuticle provided with transverse striations. Lateral alae present. Mouth with 3 small v­shaped lips, dorsal lip with 2 sessile papillae, each ventrolateral lip with 1 ventral sessile papilla. Esophagus with short pharynx, cylindrical corpus, and posterior bulb containing valves. Somatic papillae numerous, in two ventral, two subventral, two dorsal and two subdorsal rows, extending from cervical region to posterior end.
