gen. nov.

Hemimirollia gen. n.

Type species: Mirollia gracilis Karny, 1925 , here designated.

Diagnosis. Similar to Mirollia but missing the large phallus sclerites; instead the male phallus carries a small semisolid structure. Tegmen not as wide as in the majority of the Mirollia species, with the male stridulatory area smaller. Male cerci resembling the situation in some Deflorita .

Description. Fastigium verticis nearly vertically sloping, at tip with projection. Disc of pronotum broadly rounded into paranota; only in apical area flattened. Tegmen of normal width, costal area little widened in circa basal half; apex rounded. Male stridulatory area roughly oval. Male cerci simply curved with apico-internal process. Male epiproct widening towards apex. Male phallus without sclerites but with a pair of small, semi-solid, granular structures. Male first abdominal tergite setose in middle. Ovipositor sickle-shaped.

Other species included: H. luteipennis ( Karny, 1925) comb. n. from Mirollia agrees with the generic diagnosis and is with regard to the apically widened epiproct, the shapes of the male cerci and subgenital plate, and the narrow tegmen similar to H. gracilis .
