Material. Anda6 (1) RGM 1008313.

Characterization. Shell medium-sized, 43 mm. Protoconch top damaged, at least 2.5 whorls. Teleoconch whorls carinate, first 6 also tuberculate. Spire of moderate height, stepped; outline slightly concave. Sutural ramps concave, ornamented with densely spaced radial threads. Last whorl conical, outline straight, slightly concave at base. Subsutural flexure symmetrical, of moderate depth. Sculpture of last whorl consists of axially striate spiral grooves on lower one third, with spiral ribbons in between, which become narrower near the base. Aperture narrow.

Distribution. Japan and Taiwan, 50–400 m, mud bottom ( Röckel, Korn & Kohn, 1995). Japan and Taiwan, sandy mud bottom, 50–200 m ( Hori, 2000). Japan to Taiwan and the Philippines ( Tucker & Tenorio, 2013). Also from the middle to early late Miocene of Ngembak, Java ( Martin, 1884), the Pliocene of Koshiba, Japan ( Oyama, 1973) and the Pleistocene of Central Japan ( Aoki & Baba, 1984).

Remarks. A small part of the last whorl of this shell appears to be bleached by exposure to the sun. This part has a colour pattern of spiral rows of small dots under UV light, which also occurs in some specimens of Conasprella sieboldii ( Reeve, 1848) .
