Material examined. CHINA: Yunnan Province: Tengchong County: 2 ɗ, 4 Ψ, Wuhe Township, Tongjiazhuang Village, Longchuanjiang River [24.89284ºN, 98.67439ºE], 1210 m, 24 May 2005, Heng-Mei Yan and Ke-Ji Guo (GKJ2004: HNU: 1 ɗ, 2 Ψ; CAS: 1 ɗ, 2Ψ). Gongshan County: 1 Ψ, Dulongjiang Township, Maku [N27.68875º, E098.31303º], 1677 m, 3 September 2006, Peng Hu leg (HNU-GKJ2004).

Description. Male (HNU-GKJ02004, this is the first description of the male): Total length 3.00. Prosoma 1.32 long, 1.08 wide; opisthosoma 1.72 long, 1.45 wide. Dorsal shield of prosoma yellowish brown with some long setae, the median grayish white. Eye tubercles gray, eye sizes and interdistances: ALE 0.14, PLE 0.08, AME 0.07, PME 0.05, AME-AME 0.15, AME-ALE 0.14, PME-PME 0.24, PME-PLE 0.25; MOA length 0.23, front width 0.30, hind width 0.34. Sternum, chelicerae, gnathocoxae, labium and legs light yellow, legs with many spines. Femora I with 3 prolateral spines, femora I–III with 4 dorsal spines, femora IV with 2 dorsal spines. Tibiae and metatarsi I, II with 2 pairs of weak ventral spines. Leg measurements: I: 3.80 (1.10, 1.20, 0.80, 0.70), II: 4.10 (1.20, 1.30, 0.90, 0.70), III: 2.55 (0.85, 0.90, 0.40, 0.40), IV: 2.85 (0.95, 1.00, 0.50, 0.40); formula 2, 1, 4, 3. Opisthosoma dorsum orange, with conspicuous pairs of small black dots and some white spots, cardiac pattern and muscular depressions visible; laterally with black lines; venter light yellow.

Palp ( Figs 14 e–f, h View FIGURES 14 a – j ). Palp with VTA and RTA, VTA apically curved, RTA small, spine-shaped; bulb flat; embolus small, nail-shaped.

Female (HNU-GKJ02004): Total length 2.80. Prosoma 1.28 long, 1.15 wide; opisthosoma 1.60 long, 1.40 wide. Body color fainter than in male. Leg measurements: I 3.25 (1.00, 1.05, 0.70, 0.50), II 3.55 (1.10, 1.15, 0.80, 0.5), III 2.40 (0.80, 0.90, 0.40, 0.30), IV 2.45 (0.85, 0.90, 0.40, 0.30); formula 2, 1, 4, 3. Black spots on dorsum same as in male; white spots on dorsum much smaller than in male. 2 pairs of muscular depressions visible; laterally with black lines; venter yellow.

Epigyne-vulva ( Figs 14 g, i, j View FIGURES 14 a – j ). Epigyne wider than long; copulatory opening indistinct; copulatory ducts very short; spermathecae globular.

Variation. Total length: males: 2.80–3.00 (n = 2); females: 2.50–3.10 (n = 5). Dorsal shield of prosoma vary from brown to blackish brown ( Figs 14. a–b View FIGURES 14 a – j ); abdominal markings vary in size and pigmentation ( Figs 14 c–d View FIGURES 14 a – j ).

Distribution. Bhutan, China (new to China, recorded from Tengchong and Gongshan Counties of Yunnan Province).
