Diagnosis. This species is similar to L. maius Ono, 1979 ( Figs 12 a–l View FIGURES 12 a – l ), the differences are discussed in the diagnosis of L. maius .

Description. Male: Total length 2.40. Prosoma 1.20 long, 1.00 wide; opisthosoma 1.30 long, 1.00 wide. Dorsal shield of prosoma blackish brown with an anchor-shaped black marking. Eyes with white rim. ALE>PLE>AME>PME. Chelicerae, labium, gnathocoxae blackish brown. Sternum black. Legs yellow with black annuli, and with weak spines. Femora with 3 prolateral spines, femora I–IV with 4 dorsal spines, tibiae and metatarsi I, II both with 2 pairs of ventral spines. Leg measurements: I: 4.40 (1.40, 1.30, 0.90, 0.80), II: 4.80 (1.50, 1.40, 1.00, 0.90), III: 3.20 (1.00, 1.00, 0.70, 0.50), IV: 3.50 (1.10, 1.00, 0.80, 0.60), formula: 2, 1, 4, 3. Opisthosoma ellipsoid, widest medially; dorsum brown, with many small black markings; laterally with some white spots; venter grayish black.

Palp ( Figs 13 e–g, j View FIGURES 13 a – k ). VTA stout and apically curved dorsally, RTA strongly sclerotized, spatula-shaped; bulb flat, sperm duct thick; embolus twisted and apically pointed.

Female: Total length 3.00. Prosoma 1.30 long, 1.20 wide; opisthosoma 1.70 long, 1.40 wide. Dorsal shield of prosoma blackish brown with a median black line. Leg measurements: I: 3.00 (1.00, 0.80, 0.70, 0.50), II: 3.30 (1.10, 0.90, 0.80, 0.50), III: 2.30 (0.70, 0.60, 0.60, 0.40), IV: 2.60 (0.80, 0.70, 0.60, 0.50), formula: 2, 1, 4, 3. Opisthosoma ovoid, widest medially, dorsum uniformly dark or with paramedian dark blotches; laterally with white spots; venter with black and white markings.

Epigyne-vulva ( Figs 13 h–i View FIGURES 13 a – k , l–k). Epigyne surrounded by black markings, sclerotized plate small; copulatory openings lateral; copulatory ducts short; spermathecae pyriform.

Variation. Total length: males 2.20–2.60 (n = 12); females 2.80–3.20 (n = 59). This species has variable opisthosoma markings ( Figs 13 a–d View FIGURES 13 a – k ), however, the shape and structure of the genital organs are diagnostic.

Distribution. Nepal, Bhutan; China (new to China, recorded from three counties: Tengchong, Gongshan and Longling of Yunnan Province).
