Type Locality: "Promontoriae bonae Spei missas"; since restricted to South Africa, Western Cape Prov., Swellendam Dist.

Vernacular Names: Blaaubok.

Distribution: South Africa (Western Cape); extirpated about 1799.

Conservation: IUCN – Extinct.

Discussion: Reviewed by Groves and Westwood (1995), Klein (1974), Mohr (1967), and Rookmaaker (1992).
