Material. ETHIOPIA: 2♀, 10.xii.1989, Mt. Managesha, 3000m, leg. A. Freidberg & F. Kaplan, coll. TAUI.

Discussion. Camras (2001) first published these two females of Thecophora distincta from Ethiopia. This remains the only record of this species from the Afrotropical Region. Thecophora distincta is widely distributed in the Palaearctic Region.
