Type material. Holotype, male. NORTHEASTERN ALGERIA. Bejaia province: Adekar (Soummam), X.1931 (H. Normand) (INAT).

Comparative notes. Within Tychobythinus the presence of a conspicuous frontal horn bearing a long seta is unique to T. monoceros .

Remarks. Species recently attributed to genus Tychobythinus (Besuchet et al. 2013) .
