Genus Plagiocrossa Janse, 1949 View in CoL

Type species: Lecithocera picrodora Meyrick, 1913

The genus Plagiocrossa Janse is an Afrotropical monotypic genus. It is very close to Lecithocera , but it can be distinguished by R 5 reaching termen, well below the apex. It is also differentiated from Eridachtha by having R 3 free and CuA 1 and CuA 2 stalked in the forewing, M 2 present in the hindwing, whereas R 3 is stalked with R 4+5 and CuA 1 and CuA 2 free in the forewing and M 2 absent in the hindwing in Eridachtha .
