Figure 1 View FIGURE 1 ; Map 1

Female. Body small. Fastiguim verticis conical, apex obtusely rounded, furrowed in middle. Eyes kidney-shaped, projecting outwards.

Anterior margin of pronotum slightly prominent, posterior margin narrowly rounded; lateral lobes longer than high, humeral sinus absent.

All femora without spines on ventral margins. Procoxae with a spine; protibiae with 4 spines on anterior margin and 5 spines on posterior margin of ventral surface, and a pair of apical spurs on ventral surface; tibial tympana open on both sides, ovoid. Mesotibiae with 5 spines on anterior and posterior margin of ventral surface separately, and a pair of apical spurs on ventral surface. Genicular lobes of postfemora with apices obtuse; posttibiae with 27 spines on anterior and posterior margin of dorsal surface, and a pair of dorsal apical spurs and 2 pairs of ventral apical spurs.

Tegmina brachypterous, concealed beneath pronotum, not surpassing posterior margin of pronotum, reaching the middle area of second abdominal tergite; hind wings absent.

Posterior margin of tenth abdominal tergite comparatively straight. Cerci conical, apex subacute. Ovipositor gently curved upwards, base stout, narrowing, dorsal valvulae slightly longer than ventral ones; dorsal valvulae sharply pointed and ventral ones with a distinct small terminal hook. Subgenital plate approximately rectangular in ventral view, auriform in lateral view, lateral carinae of basal half and medial carina of apical half distinct; basal margin comparatively straight, lateral margin expanded, angularly bent dorsad, poserior margin with 1 central concavity in middle, the lateral lob obtusely rounded.

Male. Unknown.

Coloration. Body yellowish-brown, slightly green. Eyes brown. Internal margin of antennal socket, scape and pedicel light brown. Dorsum of head with 4 brown stripes. Pronotum with a pair of dark brown stripes on lateral margins of disc, between area light brown. Apices of postfemora, ventral spines of tibiae and whole tarsi light brown. Abdominal sternites light brown.

Type material. Holotype, ♀, Daweishan, Pingbian, Yunnan, 24 August, 1990, coll. Xiaohong Ou.

Measurement (mm). Body: ♀ 9.5; pronotum: ♀ 4.2; tegmen: ♀ 1.4; postfemur: ♀ 8.9; ovipositor: 5.9.

Distribution. China (Yunnan).

Discussion. The new species differs from the other species in: subgenital plate approximately rectangular in ventral view, auriform in lateral view, lateral carinae of basal half and medial carina of apical half distinct; basal margin comparatively straight, lateral margin expanded, angularly bent dorsad, posterior margin with 1 central concavity, the lateral lob obtusely rounded.

Etymology. The name of the new species is derived from the shape of lateral lobe of posterior margin in female subgenital plate.
