Material examined. Kenya, 1 male, 1 female, coffee farm in Taita Hills, Coast Province , July 2006 (El-Banhawy) .

Female: Dorsal shield 360 long, 250 wide, with antero-lateral striations and six pairs of pores. Measurements of dorsal setae: j1 35, j3 46, j4, j5, j6, J2, J5, z2, z4, z5 4–6, Z4 170, Z5 440, s4 132, S2, S4, S5 4 –6, r3, R1 9, JV5 92. Setae Z 4, Z5 slightly serrated, Z1 absent, remaining setae smooth. Peritrematal shield fused anteriorly with dorsal shield, reaching level of j1. Sternal shield smooth, posterior margin straight, distances between St I-S III 62 , St II-St II 76 , St IV on platelets. Genital shield 85 wide. Ventri-anal shield, 125 long, 78 wide, with a pair of crescentic pre-anal pores and three pairs of pre-anal setae (JV1, JV2, ZV2). Two pairs of metapodal platelets, seven pairs of small round platelets, a long thin sigillar sclerite and four pairs of setae surrounding ventri-anal shield. Fixed digit of chelicera with ten teeth, movable digit with four teeth. Spermatheca calyx very long (48) tubular, parallel sided, slightly flared distally, atrium enlarged, 4 long, 5 wide. Macrosetae sharp distally, Sge I 60, SgeII 46, Sti II 58 , Sge III 72 , Sti III 60 , Sge IV 180 , Sti IV 140 , St IV 95 . Chaetotaxy : genu II 2 , 2 / 0, 2/0, 1, genu III 1 , 2 /1, 2/0, 1.

Male: Chaeotaxy of dorsal shield as in female. Ventri-anal shield 110 long, 180 wide, with anterior striations, a pair of round pre-anal pores and three pairs of pre-anal setae arranged in pentagonal pattern. Spermatodactyl Lshaped, shaft 17 long, foot 5 long, toe 3 long.

Remarks. The female holotype was collected from Leopoldville, DRC, April 10, 1955, E. W Baker ( Pritchard & Baker, 1962). This species has also been collected from Benin, Burundi, Cameroon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, and Uganda ( Zannou et al., 2007).
