Distribution of the genus. Guyana, French Guiana, Surinam, and Brazil.

Distribution in Colombia. Amazonas.

Remarks. Phalaecus was recorded for Colombia by Castro-Huertas et al. (2015), and noted the impossibility of the identification to species level. The examined specimen did not fit any known species of the genus.
